2022 Haiku Retreat on Zoom
October 7 – 10, 2022 (Friday – Monday)
Due to ongoing Covid-19 concerns, for only the third time since 1984, we will not be holding the YTHS Annual Retreat at Asilomar. The good news is that it will be held on Zoom again this year. The Retreat is limited to 50 participants, and is likely to sell out, so register early. Registration will open on May 1, 2022, and close on September 1, 2022.
We have a wonderful program planned. We are delighted that Lenard D. Moore will be our featured speaker. Four days of activities will include a kukai with Emiko Miyashita, an art party, a ginkgo, and a special lecture by Phillip Kennedy. There will be many opportunities to share haiku.
Our featured guest will be Lenard D. Moore who is an internationally acclaimed poet and anthologist. His literary works have been published in more than sixteen countries and translated into more than twelve languages. A U.S. Army Veteran, Moore is the author of Long Rain; The Geography of Jazz and The Open Eye among other books. He is the editor of All the Songs We Sing; Window’s: A Collection of Haiku, and other books. He was thrice awarded the Haiku Museum of Tokyo Award and in 2020-2021 was the Honorary Curator of the American Haiku Archives at the California State Library.

The cost of the retreat is $100. There are two ways to pay:
1. Mail a $100 check made out to Yuki Teikei Haiku Society and send with your completed registration form to the YTHS address above.
